Ever since I watch DC Cupcakes on tv, I always have the feeling,"oh I will definitely try those heavenly cupcakes!"
And last year, my dream came true. An invitation came from a lovely friend and her husband to visit them in Poolesville, Maryland. Which was an hour drive to Washington DC and 45 minutes drive to Georgetown, where the flagship store is.
Georgetown is lovely. Old buildings cover this city pretty nicely, with an extra of new buildings that also give a highlight. I can spend hours there if it wasn't for the heat. Yes, it was a hot summer in June. Such a perfect place for shopping or only to eat. I spotted some cute restaurants also.
DC cupcakes can be found just around the corner of 33rd & M street. I was very lucky not to queue very long for a sweet treat. Only 2 persons before me. And when I entered the shop, I can smell heaven. Nothing beats my excitement. I want to taste everything! I do mean everything. I regret that I had a big lunch earlier. I end up only bought 3 cupcakes: Chocolate salted caramel, red velvet, and vanilla was my choice of flavors. The $3 each cupcake was totally worth it. I have my weak spot for dessert.
They're not only serve you cupcakes, some beverages also available. But since the shop is always a full house, it's not a comfortable place to sit down and chillin'.
